Yuri Buida's new novel Poison and Honey released in Russia by EKSMO earlier this year, is one of five titles short-listed for the 2014 Ivan Belkin literary award.

The award named after the invented "author" of the famous Alexander Pushkin's Tales of the late Ivan Petrovich Belkin, was founded in 2001 by Russian literary magazine "Znamya" and is given yearly for the best literature work in narrative genre written in Russian which was published during the calendar year in course. The right to nominate is exercised by the editorial office of newspapers and magazines, creative organizations, and also professional literature critics, observers, editors and publishers.
