    Elena Rzhevskaya

“By the will of fate I came to play a part in not letting Hitler achieve his final goal of disappearing and turning into a myth. Only with time did I finally manage to overcome all the obstacles and make public this ‘secret of the century’. I managed to prevent Stalin’s dark and murky ambition from taking root – his desire to hide from the world that we had found Hitler’s corpse”.

Quotes about Rzhevskaya (fourth page of the cover) “As for how the investigation was conducted, Elena Rzhevskaya describes it in exhaustive detail in her book “The End of Hitler without Myth and Guesswork”, and I have nothing to add to what she has written”.
Marshal of the Soviet Union, Command ot the Soviet Army Georgy Zhukov

In the edition of Goebbels’ diaries, the publisher, Elke Frohlich (Institut fur Zeitgeschichte), devotes two pages to Rzhevskaya’s role in discovering the diaries, preparing their first publication and researching their history. In particular, she writes:
“Ein untrugliches Indiz fur die Auffindung grosser Teile der handschriftlichen Tagebucher liefert der Bericht der sowjetischen Historikerin Jelena Rschewskaja”
“A report by Soviet historian Elena Rzhevskaya provided reliable evidence of the discovery of the large part of [Goebbels’] handwritten diaries”.
